It is really easy to create this look for yourself. First I painted all my nails the color polish I wanted to use on my other fingers and as the background for the beads. Then I put top coat over all the polish, I use Seche Vite. One the finger or fingers you would like to put the microbeads on put a very generous coat of top coat on and then quickly pour the microbeads over your finger with a plate below your hand to catch the beads that fall off. Shake off the excess beads and then gently press the beads on to the nail to make sure that they are securely in place. In the picture above the beads are just on the nail with no top coat over it.
The picture above shows the beads with top coat over them. I decided to try it out with the top coat on so that the manicure would last longer. It helps the beads adhere to the nails better. I didn't want them to be falling off while I was sleeping, it would be a pain to pick all those little beads out of my sheets! I really like the way this manicure looks, the only annoying thing is how rough the beads feel even after I put the top coat on them. I also really like how well Slapper goes with the color beads that I picked.
Have any of you guys tried out "Fish Egg" or Microbead manicures? Let me know what you think of them by leaving a comment here, on Facebook, or tweet me @Polish_Paradise.
London Slapper is beautiful and the beads go with it really well!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a beautiful color! It is one of my all time favorites! I was so excited when I saw that the beads went well!

Awesome thank you so much! :)
DeleteI haven't tried it yet...I think I want to after my shoulder surgery and after I heal up enough :-) You have made it look appealing! I've heard so many people say they didn't like it or it didn't turn out good. I absolutely love how you do your nails! Oh, I'm not trying to be a spelling dictator or anything, but while reading through this blog I saw something that just made me giggle and thought I would bring it to your attention in case you wanted to change it...here is the part: ”genitally press the beads on to the nail to make sure that they are securely in place.” Lol I think you intended to day Generally instead of ”genitally” hehe....GREAT MANI! <3
ReplyDeletehaha thanks for the correction. I wrote the post while I was in class I was paying attention to half of each thing I was doing. lol And good luck with your surgery! I hope it goes well!
DeleteSeeee...now my stupid ”smart” phone misspelled SAY by putting DAY...hehe...
